I. Business from the Floor

This section of the Council meeting provides citizens the opportunity to discuss matters, which are not listed on the printed agenda. Any person wishing to bring a matter to the Council’s attention under this section of the agenda should: (1) Come to the podium and state their name and address; (2) state the matter that they wish to discuss and what action they would like the Council to take. III. Public Hearings

1) Proposed Exotic Pet Ordinance: The Town Council is considering the
addition of an Exotic Pet Ordinance to the Louisa Town Code. The ordinance will set requirements for transporting and housing exotic pets (as defined in the proposed ordinance), within the Louisa Town limits. Additionally, a permit requirement, enforcement authority delegation, and penalty provision is in the proposed ordinance.

2) Proposed 12 month lease of town real estate: The Town Council will be
considering an application for a 12 month lease by a local business (George
Faulknier’s Produce). The property is located at 301 W. Main St, Louisa, VA.
23093 (Corner of Cutler Ave and W. Main St). Mr. Faulkinier proposes to
operate a produce stand and limited retail sales of locally produced items.
