Heritage Day

Event hosted by the LOUISA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY –
in partnership with Louisa County Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Come see what life in Louisa County was like during the 1820’s! Step back in time through living history demonstrations of Tobacconist, Hearth Cooking, Domestic Arts, Blacksmiths, Broom Makers, Spinners, Weavers, Woodworkers, Gardeners, Draft Horses being harnessed, Field Plows, and Black Powder Rifle Firing. Special interactive fun for the children will include making corn-shuck dolls, spinning wool, and needlework, as well as learning how a telegraph was sent and playing games that were popular during that time period. Special guests will be present so plan to stay for the day. This family event is free to the public!
