THE LOUISA TOWN COUNCIL WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AT 6:00 PM ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2021 PURSUANT TO VIRGINIA CODE § 15.2-2119 TO CONSIDER AN INCREASE IN SEWER RATES:

Comments will be heard during the virtual meeting at the opening of the public hearing.  Comments can also be submitted prior to the meeting by calling our office at (540) 967-1400, email at info@louisatown.org or mail to P.O. Box 531, Louisa, Virginia 23093. Written comments are encouraged. Complete copies of the Draft Ordinance and Fee Structure are available at Louisa Town Hall.  Requests for mailed or e-mailed copies will be honored.  The Town of Louisa will place any written or oral comments received in the record of this Public Hearing.  Questions should be directed to Liz Nelson, Town Manager at (540) 967-1400 between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.  Please submit all written or verbal comments no later than 12:00pm Tuesday, January 19, 2021 so they may be included in the meeting packet.  If special accommodations are needed to participate, please contact our office the day prior to the Public Hearing.

Please note that this Public Hearing is being held by all-electronic means with no physical quorum of council members assembled together or members of the public assembled together.  This meeting is being conducted pursuant to Va. Code 2.2-3708(A)3 as authorized when the Governor has declared a state of emergency in accordance with Va. Code § 44-146.17, and in accordance with the Town’s Ordinance to Modify Public Meeting and Public Hearing Practices and Procedures to address Continuity of Operations Associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic Disaster adopted by Council on April 21, 2020 pursuant to Va. Code § 15.2-1413.
