THE TOWN OF LOUISA WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE UPCOMING TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES, WEST MAIN STREET SIDEWALK EXTENSION PROJECT AT 6:00 PM ON TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 2021 DURING THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED TOWN COUNCIL MEETING.

At this meeting, Council members, Staff, and The Thrasher Group’s engineering design team will discuss the overall project. In addition, the meeting also addresses: project goals; project funding; the needs and desires of the citizens, businesses and property owners; and the project’s impact on transportation and commerce. Public Comments will be heard during the meeting. Comments can also be submitted prior to the meeting by calling our office at (540) 967-1400, email at info@louisatown.org or mail to P.O. Box 531, Louisa, Virginia 23093. Plans will be available for viewing during the public hearing. Project materials are available upon request. Please note that this Meeting and Public Hearing are being held by all-electronic means with no physical quorum of council members assembled together or members of the public assembled together. This meeting is being conducted pursuant to Va. Code 2.2-3708(A)3 as authorized when the Governor has declared a state of emergency in accordance with Va. Code § 44-146.17, and in accordance with the Town’s Ordinance to Modify Public Meeting and Public Hearing Practices and Procedures to address Continuity of Operations Associated with the Covid-19 Pandemic Disaster adopted by Council on April 21, 2020 pursuant to Va. Code § 15.2-1413.
